The Peak District National Park has lots to offer - with family attractions from Chatsworth House to Alton Towers within radius – its main focus is as a favourite with walkers and rock-climbers. There are even Peak ‘Park Rangers’ who lead regular guided walks specialising in many different interests. Situated in the heart of the Peak District, the beautiful Georgian Spa town of Buxton is well worth a visit; as are other bustling Derbyshire towns like Bakewell and Ashbourne.

The Lincolnshire Coast has loads going on including top seaside action in the form of resorts like Skegness, Mablethorpe and Sutton on Sea – all of which have Blue Flag beaches. Wildlife thrives in the unbroken peace of places like Gibraltar Point, Crook Bank and Moggs Eye not to mention the Lincolnshire Fens. Be sure to bring your binoculars!

If you visit Nottingham, be sure to seek out The City of Caves underneath the city centre where you can descend into the dark depths of the original Anglo-Saxon tunnels – truly fascinating! Another popular visitor attraction is 'Tales of Robin Hood'; just two minutes walk away from Nottingham Castle.
