Visit the beautiful Isle of Purbeck, passing the magnificent ruin of Corfe Castle.  This part of Dorset is great for walking, with fantastic views over rolling countryside and across the sea.

Lulworth Cove is a beautiful cove formed over millions of years  There are often boat trips leaving for a tour of the highlights of the coast, including the breathtaking Durdle Door.

Set in one of England’s most scenic locations, the historic market town of Shaftesbury is where you will find the familiar ‘Hovis Hill’ (actually called Gold Hill), one of the most famous views in Wessex. 

In the heart of Thomas Hardy’s Wessex, Dorchester is a great place to exploreHardy based many of his novels on Dorset and ‘Casterbridge’ is based on Dorchester mainly because it was his birth place and the site of his family home.
